Not exactly supposed to protect the environment, but rather your computer, GreenBrowser is an application meant to compete with the big guys on the market, regardless if we’re talking about Firefox, Opera or Internet Explorer.But this last application is actually the one that served as the foundation of GreenBrowser, so this is actually an enhanced version of the popular Microsoft browser with tons of handy features.The interface of course reminds us of the famous Internet Explorer, but there are a lot of improvements, and the first we’ve noticed during our test was the tabbed browsing.Of course, an application that’s supposed to fight against the likes of Firefox or Opera has to offer a pleasant interface, so GreenBrowser has skin support too, but there are only two available options.Probably the most useful goodie bundled into this program is the fill manager that automatically fills in forms for you, so that you don’t have to spend your time writing down names and addresses every time you’re asked to.The settings menu is pretty rich and holds options for almost every single feature that’s offered through GreenBrowser, including tabs, mouse gestures, popup filters and shortcut keys.As expected since it’s green, the browser remains very friendly with computer resources, even when running with multiple tabs opened.Overall, GreenBrowser is a nice alternative for all those who wish to try something else beside the famous names in the market and as far as we’re concerned, this is the greenest way to browse the Internet.
